Asprey was founded in 1781 in Mitcham, Surrey, England. It was originally a silk printing company founded by William Asprey and soon developed into a luxury shopping mall. In 1841, William Asprey's eldest son Charles collaborated with a stationery shop on Bond Street in London. In 1847, the family broke up with this partner and moved to 167 New Bond Street, where Asprey is today.
Asprey has a tradition of producing jewelry, which is inspired by flowers in English gardens and woodland flora. Over the decades, the interpretation of flowers in jewelry has evolved, including the daisy, woodland and sunflower series.
