About Product title: Van Cleef & Arpels Flowerlace Diamond Pendant Necklace in 18k White Gold, VCARP05200

Lace, drawn in diamonds. This is Van Cleef & Arpels at the high jewelry level.

The Flowerlace pendant — reference VCARP05200 — traces five open, looping petals in 18k white gold, every edge lined in pavé and anchored by a raised diamond cluster pistil at the center. Seventy-eight round brilliants, 2.37 carats total, held to VCA's DEF, IF-to-VVS standard. The open petals tilt slightly, so light passes through the flower and plays across the pavé with every movement — the "lace" effect that gives the collection its name.

This sits in Van Cleef's classic High Jewelry catalog, not the regular jewelry line — the same workshops and stone standards as their one-of-a-kind pieces, in a design you can actually wear daily. Integrated white gold chain, signed VCA Au750 with hallmark clasp.

Van Cleef and Arpels Backstory

Van Cleef & Arpels was founded in Paris in 1906 by Alfred Van Cleef and the Arpels brothers — Charles, Julien, and Louis — sons of jeweler Salomon Arpels. The maison's Place Vendôme address remains its headquarters more than a century later.

In 1933, Van Cleef & Arpels patented the Mystery Set, an invisible setting technique in which precious stones are mounted with no visible prongs or metalwork between them. The technique requires hundreds of hours per piece and is still used today on the maison's most important high jewelry.

Across collections like Alhambra, Perlée, and Frivole, Van Cleef & Arpels remains one of the most distinctive voices in twentieth-century French jewelry.
