Van Cleef & Arpels Frivole Mini Diamond 18k Yellow Gold Bracelet

Van Cleef & Arpels Frivole bracelet in the mini model, 18k yellow gold, with a single pave diamond flower on a fine chain. The motif is built from five heart-shaped petals, each one domed and set edge to edge with round brilliant-cut diamonds — 25 stones, 0.21 carats total, D to F color and IF to VVS clarity. A single stone sits at the center where the petals meet. The pave follows the curve of each petal, so the flower doesn’t read flat; it catches light from the top and from the sides as the wrist turns.

That curve is the point of the design. The petals are hollowed and shaped like scoops rather than cut as flat discs, which gives a very small motif more presence than its measurements suggest. The flower is about 0.4 inches across. The chain is a slim yellow gold trace chain, with the flower fixed at the center so it stays put on top of the wrist instead of sliding around. It fastens with a lobster clasp and has an extra ring for a shorter fit.

This is the smallest and lightest piece in the Frivole line, meant to be worn every day and layered. It sits well against a Sweet Alhambra or a Perlee, and it goes under a cuff without snagging. Yellow gold warms the diamonds and ties it to the rest of a gold stack.
