Ruban is Van Cleef & Arpels doing what the maison has always done best: taking something soft and impermanent and rendering it in metal that outlives everyone who wears it. The bow here isn't flat. It's built with real dimension, the loop rising off the finger and the tails falling away at different lengths so the whole thing reads as caught mid-motion rather than posed.

What makes this one worth a second look is the shank. It doesn't close. The band sweeps around and terminates in a folded, diamond-set ribbon end that sits opposite the bow, so the ring wraps the finger instead of encircling it.
