Sweet Alhambra is the smallest four-leaf motif Van Cleef & Arpels makes — mother-of-pearl set inside the beaded 18K yellow gold border, hung on a fine chain that disappears at the collarbone. You forget it's on. Then someone gets close enough to clock it, and they know.

Mother-of-pearl earns its place here. The surface isn't flat white — tilt it and you get pink, then silver, then back again, and no two shells behave identically. That's the whole appeal of the material and why VCA has never swapped it out for something more uniform.
