Van Cleef & Arpels Vintage Alhambra 5 Motif Onyx Bracelet 18K Yellow Gold

18K yellow gold, five Vintage Alhambra motifs, each one cut from onyx and framed in Van Cleef & Arpels' beaded gold border. It comes with its Van Cleef & Arpels certificate of authenticity, dated 2023.

This is the bracelet most people picture when they hear the name. The four-leaf shape goes back to 1968, and the house has barely touched it since. Same proportions. Same row of tiny gold beads around every edge, each one polished by hand.

Onyx is the sharpest version of it. Mother-of-pearl glows and carnelian warms up, but black against yellow gold just reads as graphic. The stone is polished flat and dark enough to mirror whatever's above it, so the clovers stand out from across the room and against any sleeve.

The motifs are spaced evenly on a squared link chain, so one is always facing up no matter how the bracelet turns. Lobster clasp. It's light enough to forget about and wears with a watch or a stack as easily as it does alone.
